Re: Accelerometer as Tilt Sensor for Expression Pedals

Hello Iain,

It still has support for that (within the organ definition format, as it was since v2).

Re: Cloning specific combinations to new set?

Hello Mark, Yes -- you could do that, provided that you didn't already have some combinations in the destination combination set that you wanted to preserve. Actually, I've just realised that (even if wishing to preserve some combinations in the destination combination set) my instructions had some ...

Re: Cloning specific combinations to new set?

Hello David, Provided that you keep the organ loaded, and don't do anything that would stop/start MIDI (such as opening one of the preferences or devices screens), you could potentially copy those combinations one-by-one using the 'Copy reg' and 'Paste reg' functions, switching between combination ...

Re: Version 4: Piston not recognised on second computer

Hello organsRgreat, I’m guessing that INF stands for “internal function” or something similar; though that probably doesn’t matter, as the components of each MIDI message are listed in detail. It stands for 'information', indicating that the logged line is just for information (as opposed to 'ERR', w ...

Re: Missing the dropdown menus

Thanks, Drew. I've been looking into the issue with menus from hold-touch, and unfortunately it appears to be a behaviour/bug in the version of the multi-platform library that we use for Hauptwerk. It works as desired on macOS, and and is usable on Windows but awkward (you have to slide your finger ...

Re: Hauptwerk IX Early User Experience

Thanks, Adrian. the main thing I find hard/weird to navigate is that there are effectively sub-tabs, but only indicated by text, eg the midi settings/audio routing example in the image you post. That might be why I think things are moving around. That's the way that tabs are drawn by the touch ...

Re: Hauptwerk IX Early User Experience

Hello Adrian/Bruce/Steve/Mark, For the reasons discussed in that thread ( https://forum.hauptwerk.com/viewtopic.php?t=21524 ), the main focus of v9 was to simplify the user interface to reduce duplication, including removing the traditional application menu bar in favour of the touch menu. We don't ...

Re: I've lost a menu tool bar ?? solved

Hello Wayne, Since the title of this forum topic contains "solved", do you mean that you managed to find what you were looking for after all? If not, are you referring (in Hauptwerk v8) to the traditional main menu bar along the top of the main window (the one with "File", "View", "Organ ...

Re: Can I copy my floating division midi keyboards ?

Thanks, Wayne. You're very welcome. No problem at all. What does your comment { auto-detect control panel *buttons* on a global -- 'for all organs' -- basis.} mean - or pertain to? When you right-click on a button on a control panel (or on the touch menu) to auto-detect it, you can choose (via the ...

Re: Can I copy my floating division midi keyboards ?

Hello Wayne,

No -- you can't copy MIDI settings from one organ to another, or auto-detect/configure floating division MIDI keyboards globally ('for all organs'), I'm afraid. (You can, however, auto-detect control panel *buttons* on a global -- 'for all organs' -- basis.)

Re: HW8 I can't view large floating division control panel

Hello Wayne, Do I understand correctly that you mean that, with the relevant organ loaded, from v8's main menu bar the " View | Large floating control panels (for this organ) | Floating divisions " menu option shows as being ticked, but you can't see the relevant large control panel on the screen ...

Re: Version 4: Piston not recognised on second computer

Hello organsRgreat, Briefly (since we no longer officially support v4), on both computers I'd suggest turning on the advanced general preference for logging MIDI input/output temporarily. Then look in the logs to compare: - What is being received by your first computer for the virtual piston. - What ...
