Re: Who else is going to bronze and frame their old dongle?

I have only ever used UN-encrypted sample sets and so do not have a dongle. I make it a rule never to have anything to do with anything which has been encrypted. Encryption is Trouble with a capital T and should be avoided whenever possible. Many years ago I used a commercial program to save some ...

Re: Hauptwerk on Tour with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

For anyone who's interested, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir broadcasted "Music and the Spoken Word" from the Eccles Theater in downtown Salt Lake City today instead of the usual Salt Lake Tabernacle or Conference Center locations. Their new portable Hauptwerk organ was used, and it can be seen in a few ...

Re: Hauptwerk on Tour with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

Yes, it is. And a tip of the hat to Les and Charles for being accommodating. Let's just say the FCCLA was thrown into the mix rather last minute. It was not available when the initial plans were mapped out. Thanks for the link to the article. I had heard it was floating around somewhere out there ...

Re: Hauptwerk on Tour with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

I was so jazzed when I stumbled across this video via the Choir's posting on Twitter. I'd already heard from Rob that they'd upgraded from their older Rodgers travelling organ to Hauptwerk. In addition to knowing which sample set (I was guessing Salisbury), it would be interesting to hear how they ...

Re: Hauptwerk on Tour with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

Hi Thomas, The console kit does come with a connector to connect the toe studs to the pedalboard. In this case, we had some very talented people on staff who made some custom modifications to make the organ easy to transport between venues. The organ fits into 3 travel cases, so the amount of ...

Re: Hauptwerk on Tour with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

Yes, the new touring organ is using Hauptwerk. The time-lapse video they made is really quite fun to watch! (I am the tall nerd with a black shirt and dark jeans in the video.)

I will see if I can reply back a little later with more details about the virtual instrument(s) used.
