Hello Bruce,
Thanks very much for the interest in upgrading.
To confirm Mark's reply, v8 is no longer available, but v7->v9 is, and has the same loading speed advantages over v7 that v8 had.

Hello WMD,
Thanks for upgrading to v9. Yes -- as Mark mentioned, both messages would appear to indicate that your C: drive is full.

Re: Maximizing screen real estate
Hello Michael, It's correct that upgrading to v9 halves the width of the black border (in the relevant dimension). The border is intentionally visible on all sides, for aesthetic/clarity reasons (to separate the virtual console from the control panels, etc.), and it isn't something that we would ...

Hello AAH,
Thanks for the suggestion. I've logged as an enhancement request that you would like some means for external software to query the current states of all stops/switches, and added your notes to to that enhancement request.

Re: At best one manual working.
Hello David, Thanks very much for the interest in upgrading to v9. v9 has a 'simple audio routing' mode, which allows one to configure audio routing in a way that is sufficiently flexible for what 99% of people need, whilst being extremely quick and easy to use and understand. (Unless you have more ...

Re: HW doesn't start anymore
Hello Axel, Glad to hear that reinstalling the audio driver solved the problem. To add to Mark's reply: There are a great many major improvements in v9 above v4 that I think you'll almost certainly find useful (e.g. much improved audio quality and realism, much expanded combination system ...

Hello Lawrence,
Yes -- to add to Ray's reply, that could well be normal. (macOS may need a lot of free RAM for itself.)

Hello mdl, To add to larason2's reply (thanks very much, larason2): If the " View | Zoom virtual console to fit (for this organ) " option is turned on (as it is by default), Hauptwerk will scale the ODF's virtual console rectangle linearly (and equally in both directions, so as to preserve its ...

Re: Instrument no longer producing any sound
Thanks, Lawrence. Excellent. PS - For guidance, how much free RAM should be available after loading, for effective operation? My experience is that, very, very roughly, about 2/3 of the physical RAM can usually be used on Macs before macOS is likely to begin misbehaving. Hauptwerk's 'free GB' RAM ...
