I have just installed and tried out the KX Driver available
from http://kxproject.lugosoft.com.
It appears to work well and to have two distinctive advantages:-
1. Buffers could be reduced from 13 (best I could achieve with the latest Creative driver) to 8, so achieving a latency of 23.
2. I believe it has ASIO capability and so may be necessary for Hauptwerk 2. As I understand it, the Creative drivers for SB Live (as against Audigy) don't have this capability. Correct me if I am wrong!
Does anybody else have experience of using this driver?
I'll post to the Forum information about any problems I have.
If you try the driver please note that I nearly gave up because I got no sound at all before I toggled between front and rear speakers on the Master Control Panel screen. Maybe I have my output cable plugged into the wrong socket.
