HW with Caldas State Symphonic Orchestra

PostMon Apr 14, 2014 7:20 pm

Last week I heard that our CSSO was going to present the Faure´s Requiem, and a regular keyboard was to be used for the organ parts of the work. Then I invited home to the international Basque-Spaniard Gorka Sierra, the conductor, who also is an outstanding organist, to show him HW.
He is more fluent in using derogatory adjectives than praising ones, but when he listened the pedal stops of St. Anne, his level of positive expressions almost went to red and right away he decided to use this virtual organ in two keyboards: one for manual lines and other for pedal lines. Immediately he ordered to get two MacBook computers. He then listened my sampled organs and added that he was familiar with several digital organ brands, but nothing could be commensurable with HW.
The concert was a success, my assistance was not needed, and HW played an important role it will for sure be more frequent here and abroad.

I call this the "Hauptwerk-Effect". Whenever I demonstrate my organ to any visitors, they are all completely fascinated.
Best regards
Thomas
