The Glebe studio - almost - in Dover, DE

PostThu Oct 02, 2014 2:22 pm

In my music studio, I have installed what I believe is the largest HW setup using a conventional console.

Image

The custom four manual console has the following specifications:

112 lighted stop tablets
32 lighted coupler tablets
20 lighted pistons on each of the four manuals
25 toe pistons
4 expression pedals
AGO specification pedalboard
crank-adjustable bench

The audio setup consists of:

two 12-channel Echoaudio interfaces
one 8-channel Echoaudio interface

two 12-channel HTD amplifiers (65W per channel)

30 BP6 bi-polar speakers, allocated as follows:

6 on the Great
6 on the Swell
6 on the Choir
2 on the Solo
2 on the Pedals
2 for reverb, when needed

one Supercube 6000 sub-woofer

two powered M-Audio BP5 speakers for special effects

Currently, these are the installed sample sets:

Hereford
Metz
Skinner
Zwolle
St-Michel
Doesburg
Rotterdam (Marcussen)
Caen
Paramount 450

The performance space seats 25 and measures 30x25x24 with all speakers 9 feet off the floor.

All are invited by personal correspondence to come and perform. Contact information available at
http://www.doyonvirtualorgans.com, as well as images of the console and building.

Regards to all here who have helped in many ways.

wow this is a beautifull setup.
On the Dutch forum i recently started a topic about bipolar speakers so i am very curious how they perform in a Hauptwerk setup.
I hope you wil keep us informed.

They are super....I placed them one foot in front of reflective surface. 60% front sound and 40% reflected - just right for my space. Six speakers per division for HW octave processing. Its all about the sound.
