I just completed recording my latest concert organ transcription - Gustav Holst's "Second Suite in F for Military Band." This is one of the earliest serious pieces for band. Together with Holst's "First Suite" and his good friend Ralph Vaughan Williams' "English Folk Song Suite," it represents the start of a long tradition for concert band music. My transcription is faithful to the original published score. I rate it as "medium difficult" for the organ. It is also a great piece for showing off the early 20th century symphonic organ style.
