Ed, if you are still looking for those sounds, you might want to look into this:

I have not tried/heard it myself, but it might be the solution you were looking for.

My church has a real Skinner and the French Horn is gorgeous. At home I have the MDA St. Mary's and it's French Horn is A1. I'd put it in a number 1 spot on a list. But your opinion might vary?

The "quest" goes on. But that's a good thing. 8)

Wouldn't it be boring if there was nothing to seek out and look forward to?

I hope the organist doesn't base her decision or vote solely on those 2 sounds? Rodgers had access to incorporate these sounds via their Roland parent. Very convenient. Allen's MDS-Expander 2, Ensemble, and Vista are some alternatives as it seems MIDI sound modules for the pro music scene aren't being produced anymore. From what I see it's either pro-keyboards (Nord, Hammond, Roland, Yamaha, etc.) or VSTs + MIDI controller. Speaking of the Allen modules, I've been impressed with these over the years, especially the newer Ensemble model as some of the organ voices rival the same voice that is on the drawknob! These turn up on Ebay once in a great while as a separate unit but still command a high price. I did see one advertised as being part of a small 2 manual console. If you won by just the starting bid, you'd fair very well getting the sound module way below market value and have a full console, bench, and pedalboard to boot. 8)

I have been waiting to answer this question - but now I can respond.

You might want to look into the new sample set from CLR Resources, the Casavant from the University of Redlands. Here is the link:

https://www.clrresources.com/redlands/

I helped test this during development and I think this organ has some of the best Solo voices yet - including all the ones you asked about.
