Organ loading speed

No internet connection ever. I think I have the same drive as abaymajr. 6 core I7 processor, 96 GB RAM. Just fired the computer up and took some measurements.

Zwolle surround set, 42.3 GB RAM used when loading. First load, 63 seconds. Second load, 31 seconds.

Rotterdam surround demo set, 24 GB RAM used. First load, 34 seconds. Second load 16.1 seconds.

All loaded in 24 bit depth.

It seems the drive is loading the RAM much more quickly than its rating, but maybe when it's loaded uncompressed, as I am, it's not a straight calculation. Dividing the above I get roughly 700 mb/sec. and 1400 mb/sec. I was just going by HW's memory usage meter in the upper right. I wonder if that is an accurate means to use.

Just pull the numbers out of the Hauptwerk log for a comparison.

Yeah I'll have to check that out. I haven't explored much besides loading and playing the organ.
