mwdiers -

Thank you for the cautionary note.

I am approaching the Store directly from the email that offers the discount using that link. Once on the website, I sign in. I confirm I am on "HW.com." I have tried to buy by way of clicking on the squares from the "pricing" page as well as the "on-line store" page. Nothing happens as the cart remains empty.

Several of us aren't able to purchase the upgrade. See this thread:

The Hauptwerk forum is no longer showing login and sign up options in the header, nor regaining login from previous sessions. The user has to initiate a new topic to log back in.

When clicking on LEARN, DOWNLOAD or SUPPORT on Hauptwerk main page (https://www.hauptwerk.com/), the browser is directed to a typo address like "https://hauptwerk.commmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm/*".

I think I discovered a bug in the Online Store: I can only add one item to my cart. As soon as I add another item, the first is gone.

Thank you for this! Known bug and it is being fixed. Annoying but if you could place separate orders until we work it out that out!

Thanks!

Just now I noticed that the login fields are at the bottom of the page. However, they should be at the top of the page as before, because the page content may be too long for the login fields to be seen.

Regarding the forum...we are aware of some of the issues and preferences people would liek to see on the forum. In the next several weeks we will switching our focus to the forum.

So even though things are not changing quickly...they will be!

Thanks!

Unable to log on into website account

PostSat Dec 14, 2019 6:44 pm

Dear people,

I have been experiencing problems to logon into my account on your website.
I have tried several browsers and several pc's. Nothing works.
Only place I seem to be able to logon is via my Samsung Smartphone.
When asked the userid and password the login window si;ply stays on the screen.
Clicking to confirm does not help.

Please could you look into this?

Thanks

I bought Salisbury Willis Volumes 1,2, and 3 on Dec 9th. I've been able to download everything except the user guide for volume 1. When I try the download link for the user guide either from the downloads section of "my account" or from the e-mail I received, there is a brief pause and then the browser goes to the regular web page for volume 1, "https://www.hauptwerk.com/salisbury-cathedral-willis-volume-1/". I've taken a look at the URL for the download link and it is a similar cryptic format to all of the other downalod link I received that work.

I'm also struggling with logging in. Yesterday I could get it to work by entering my details and then hitting the page refresh. Today nothing would work. The login dialog just stays on the screen. So I cleared the browser history and was then able to login. Later on, it was back to no being able to login. I tried incognito mode in Chrome and although that recognized my details and said I was logged in, the options under "my account" still said "Login" rather than "Edit Profile". I've tried Safari and Chrome under OSX and Chrome and Edge under Windows 10.

I have the curious situation that if I go to the home page, I am shown as not logged in, and, like others, the login panel just stays there. But if instead I click on the link in my coupon, it takes me to a page where I am recognised as already logged in, and I can browse around from there...

I haven't investigated clearing caches yet, but it does seem that the web site is still very badly set up!

Cann't post my Hauptwerk License Migration Request.

The site answer:

"The site is experiencing technical difficulties.

What does I have to do?

On the hauptwerk.com website
- I think the https://www.hauptwerk.com/upgrading/ should include "warnings" that
on Windows - any HW installation on the computer will be upgraded if you install an upgrade or the trial version and that this can't be recovered unless you have taken a full OS backup of the relevant parts of the system before you begin the trial / upgrade process.
on MacOS - you must uninstall any HW installation on the computer before you upgrade an existing installation or install a trial version.

By following the rather simple advice on this page without being aware of the details, customers / potential customers may lose information and perhaps unexpectedly lose access to their previous HW installation.
