It seems the ILok cloud website is currently down? Now I can't use Hauptwerk!

I know I could have bought a dongle, but that seemed rather expensive.at the time.

Is it really right that Hauptwerk users are now totally at the mercy of a third party website being up in order for us to use the software? That seems a rather unfortunate decision.

I hope the problem is just a glitch...

I am trying to make a purchase through Paramount and the Hauptwerk site and cant get past the point where you put in your Ilok user name. I just get a spining wheel.

Good morning,

Right now (2:25pm UTC - 10:25am EDT), iLOK is reporting an outage. The authentication service has performance problems.

This outage affects the account and licenses validation. Indirectly this is affecting the purchase of new sample sets and Hauptwerk licenses since the ilok accountid (needed when completing your check-out) can't be validated.

Please try again later your purchase or validation.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. As discussed previously, the use of the iLOK 3 dongle ($38USD at Amazon) will provide uninterrupted services. The cloud service is a nice feature for temporary uses, but the dongle is highly recommended.

There is an update of iLok License Manager: version 5.2.1 GM (b2911, ece9b9c290). You need to download and install it.

Bonjour Gérard,

Indeed there is a new iLOK Manager, but the problem was with the authentication service at ilok. It was affecting not only ilok manager but everything related with "authentification" (for example our store where you must provide your ilok account id to validate it).

The service is now fully operational.

You still can download and update your ilok manager if you want, but this is truly optional.
