PostWed Sep 23, 2020 1:52 pm

How many and which licenses does that Instrument License Migration Package ($30) after 10/1/2020 fee cover?

Hello Ed

...2020 migration will cost a $30 flat fee to migrate all your instruments...

$30 USD for all your encrypted sample sets you own (from any sample set producers). So if you have 1 encrypted sample set, it will be $30 USD... 50 sample sets from 10 different sample set producers, it still will be $30 USD.

So a big (number) is better, sort of? Is that Instrument Package thing for "life"?

Michelle says "you will need to purchase an Instrument License Migration Package ($30) from the shop. Certainly not from my shop. So after 10/1, we'll need a licence to deal with a license. Now that's cool. Seriously, MDA or Pace?

I have a client that can't decide to make the switch. And this counter incentive probably won't matter. :o I doubt whether one of the main decision makers can decide which shoe to put on first. :|

If only HW users were older, well educated, well heeled, and honest, they would have machine based copy protection like the hip-hop, rap, pop, video game and sound score users have on their samplers/ synthesizers.

I think most HW users have those positive traits. It was outside "others" that have caused the problems, esp regarding security issues.

Hello Ed!

The license migration is a one time purchase in order to migrate old instruments onto the iLOK licensing platform. Once you move from the Hauptwerk dongle to iLOK you won’t have to pay this again. New instruments purchased moving forward won’t need to migrate as they will already be on the iLOK licensing platform.

Hope this helps clarify!

Best!
Michelle

Just to clarify the Migration License Package will be available to purchase from the Hauptwerk shop starting Oct. 1,2020.

Thanks!
