Re: Digital Organ versus Pupeorgan

I think it's such a shame that HW's basic facility for adjusting random detuning has remained "broken", even in HW 8, regarding the perspectives problem. Given how important random detuning is for realism, it's even more of a shame that HW 8 makes my free random detuning app more difficult to use, with nothing I can do about it.

Hello Andy,

Hauptwerk's existing random detuning functionality does work well for stereo (non-surround) sample sets, for which it was originally designed. Adding native support for handling tuning of surround sample sets' perspectives equally is still logged as an enhancement request of the highest priority.
Best regards, Martin.

Thanks, Martin. Let’s hope that the sample set producers will then return to supporting HW’s built-in random detuning by once again providing the relevant random values in their ODFs. Particularly for the benefit of users who run HW on a Mac for which I regret not being able to support with my free app.

Regards

Andy
