Halloween Concert from Ohio, including Hauptwerk

PostSun Oct 29, 2023 10:19 am

Hi everyone

The above link will take you to this evening's live stream and also will serve as the recording after the fact.

Once a year we put on a very different concert, and every year it gets a bit crazier.

Relevant to our group: this year will include Hauptwerk! During the summer I helped provide a temporary organ, featuring the sampleset of the Kilgen in the sanctuary that was out of commission for a few months. Now that work is completed, this is the "final hurrah" for the hauptwerk setup in the main sanctuary

It will be used briefly for some theater colours

But most fun: I have arranged Grand Choeur Dialogue as a "battle" between the main pipe organ "MaKilgen" and her digital clone. (Of course the big organ will win - but my gosh in the sanctuary it is quite a wall of sound especially for the conclusion!)

Other fun things: our organ got a midi control system so I arranged the orchestral part of the Spellbound Concerto - and I will play the theremin part live.

Enjoy!
