Question regarding multiple sample loops in HW2

PostMon Oct 25, 2004 3:18 am

Hello!
I'm having a small question about how HW2 is using multiple sample loops. I understand from your enhanced features list that "samples will be played back in random order". Does this mean it will select one loop at random for each time a note will sound or will it actually use different loops while a note is playing? In the latter case defining the loops would be much more difficult, but the result could be far better on notes sustained for a very long time.
On short notes the whole question is purely academic anyway, since they are played without looping anyway.
Greetings

Hello Reiner,

I'm afraid that this is a question I'd rather postpone until it is nearly ready for release, when all of the details will be made available publicly with demos etc. However, you will find out then. Sorry.

Martin.
