My Introduction

PostSat Mar 15, 2003 3:22 am

Anyway, I will also welcome everyone, and I can't wait to see who else is out there working with Hauptwerk.

edit-

3 people here and what a variety already!

I also built another computer just for Hauptwerk, a ~1.6Ghz AMD with 1.5GB RAM. Right now I'm just using one keyboard to control all 2/3 manuals and the pedals, so I'm wasting more RAM now to have every stop sound with every key. I have some audio distortion that should improve when I get more manuals.

I'm just a complete organ beginner with little knowledge of organs (just assume I know nothing :) - also no knowledge of music since I play by ear. Hauptwerk will be my practice organ (once I get manuals and pedals). When the final costs will be totaled, it will be around the same price as a used organ, but Hauptwerk will be much more portable and you can't beat being able to change organs in a minute.
