Console, computer, amplifier control using a PLC

I just received a "concerned" email regarding finding a proper USB to serial (RS232) adapter for use with Vista or W7 64 bit OS's. I wasn't very specific when I mentioned (above) that these adapters were available (cheap). I should have pointed out, due to the wonderful "Prolific" drivers we need to deal with for Vista and W7, only a few specific adapters will work.
