Baumhoer / Stieghorst sample set available now!

PostThu Jul 15, 2010 8:59 am

Dear all,

I am happy to announce that the sampleset of the Baumhoer organ of Bielefeld Stieghorst (Germany) ( see also this thread on the forum) is now available. Please have a look at theproduct page on my site for more details.

As always with Pipeloops sample sets, a fully featured trial version is available for download. Currently the set is available as download only, a DVD version is in preparation.

Best regards

Hi Reiner,
Congratulations!
I recorded 24 pieces on this clear sample set.
For example 4 suitable pieces in Old French style from Arie Loonstra.
It is (far) not as professional as Anton Doornheim, but good enough for a sound impression.
See: http://www.pcorgan.com/SampleSets2006StieghorstEN.html
Best regards,
Gert

Tried to download the trial. It starts off with a healthy 1.3mb/s then after a few minutes it crawls to a very sluggish 56k/s. I tried to stop and start it several times but it kept doing the same thing. I didn't really want to wait to wait 9 hours for it to complete so I gave up.

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble downloading the demo. With the sample set being new there may be times when the server gets overloaded. Please just try again in a few hours or days. Under normal load conditions the server is actually quite fast.
I'm planning to make a DVD for the trial version also for those people having problems with very large downloads (after all, about 3GB).

Best regards

From the original announcement:
The recordings, which will take place shortly, will be done in 24bit 96kHz and four channels to allow for making a surround sound set!

Just curious, what happened to the surround option? I do not see it mentioned anymore...

Hello Gerrit,

yes, that is correct. We abandoned the surround option for this organ during the recording process. I do however still plan to record the Führer organ in surround.

Hi all,

the DVD version of the Baumhoer set is now in final production. I have added the DVD option to the store, so it can be ordered now. I expect delivery to start early next week.

Best regards and thank you for your patience

I managed to download this trial and it is a wonderful organ to play with some lovely individual voices.
