Great, easy music...

Dear all,

While many forum's members are great organists (thanks to them for all the great demos..) that can play almost anything, many (most :?: ) of us are real amateur and it is often hard to find great sounding organ pieces that can be easily learned.

Lately, my teacher made me learn some pieces written from organist Denis Bédard (Mr Bédard is from Quebec city and moved to Vancouver a few years ago). Mr Bédard wrote many organ's pieces, many of them quite easy to learn, sounding great, with wonderful melodic lines, beautiful sounding harmonics and a touch of modernism (no Messiaen here  ).

So far I’ve learned 2 parts from the “Suite du premier ton”; loving the results I went to his website and ordered a few more pieces/books; I ordered many of the one * books (easy) and received them yesterday. I had a lot of fun last night being able to sight-read them… almost a first for me! It was far from being perfect but at least it was sounding like an organ piece…. Very good for your self esteem . :D

So if you’re looking for some easy pieces, have a look at his website; if you’re a pro, there are some “hard” one also. Hope you like it.

Enjoy!
