Hi!
There seems to be increasing enthusiasm and interest in the French Baroque and certainly it's very refreshing to the ears. However, in terms of interpretation from the written scores as well as registration, it's rather non-intuitive.
My youngest son and I went on the course at St Maximin this summer - thanks to the posting here on this forum - and this was fantastically enlightening - and as a result I have been able to give the instrument here just what one needs for this repertoire - so David Goode's students will enjoy themselves and have a good grounding for when they meet a real Baroque beast . . .
Potential participants - David has three already from his end and another three to half dozen can be accommodated - please contact me if anyone is interested or contact David directly, and AUDIENCE ARE WELCOME!(Free) Please phone me 01342 850594 if you would like to come. Time? Mid afternoon - 3pm and we'll put the kettle on and find some cake for later on . . .
If anyone in the UK has the St Maximin Hauptwerk sample sets, then the masterclass will open up the repertoire as well as the registrations to use, which can be rather a surprise. St Maximin is always a surprise:
