Unused Stops

PostThu Feb 16, 2017 7:01 am

What is the smartest way to create stops with no function? Adding an unused coupler? Or an unused tremulant?

I want to mimic a console, which has some controls (rocker tabs and stop knobs) already installed for later enhancements.

Hello Chris,

I think a stop would be the best type of object to use, since (assuming you don't assign any StopRanks to it) it has the least functionality natively of the three types of object. (You could optionally set it not to be stored in divisional or general combinations.)
