One Function Connected to 2 Controls

PostThu Mar 02, 2017 4:00 am

Is it possible to connect one stop or coupler with two different controls on a single page? Both controls should be able to engage / disengage the stop / coupler. The other control should switch its stage accordingly.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Best, Chris

I don't think you need the CODM to do this. Auto-detect (right click) the first control you want, accept, then auto-detect the second. At that point Hauptwerk will put up a message asking whether you really want both controls to affect the same stop / coupler, and will show you alternatives. Just accept “both controls” :-)

Hello Chris,

Within the CODM specifically:

Any given control (stop/coupler/piston/etc.) can be displayed in up to two places (via the CustomDisplayN_... attributes), even on the same display page.

The only other things that might possibly be applicable would be ShortcutPiston objects.

(Arbitrary switches and linkages aren't possible within the CODM.)
Best regards, Martin.
