CODM question - enclosure

PostSun May 03, 2009 12:51 pm

Hello everyone,

Using the CODM, I'm trying to figure out how to define one enclosure for two divisions - i.e. Great/Pedal. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Yes, you can assign different ranks to a single enclosure. Just treat the extra enclosed rank the same as you would any other enclosed rank and give it the EnclosureCode te same as the others have.

For example the St. Anne's example organ 6 with all frills has the Swell division with the EnclosureCode 220.

So for each rank where is has:

<Encl_IsEnclosed>N</Encl_IsEnclosed>
<Encl_EnclosureCode></Encl_EnclosureCode>

just add that EnclosureCode and it will put that rank within the Enclosure.

I.e. make it:

<Encl_IsEnclosed>Y</Encl_IsEnclosed>
<Encl_EnclosureCode>220</Encl_EnclosureCode>

Hi Brett,

I am new to CODM and unable to find the answer to this. Could you please tell me where to locate the Rank EnclosureCodes you mention in the above post?

You may find the codes for the enclosures and all other CODM settings in the CODM user guide found at:

http://www.hauptwerk.com/support/documentation/

(2nd listing)

or by running Hauptwerk, then clicking the Help menu and choosing the CODM user guide link there.

The .pdf guide has bookmarks on the left which allow you to quickly find the topic you are needing help with.
