trems

PostThu Jan 14, 2010 5:05 pm

Thanks, Bob and Martin for the info regarding the enclosure data.

Now on to trems. As I mentioned, I am using the Compenious sample set from OberWerk. The trem models are installed in a separate installation package (000442). I'm not really sure how to fill in the trems section of the rank table based on this.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Mark,

You would normally essentially just need to set:

Rank.Trem_SampleInstallationPackageID = 000442
Rank.Trem_WaveformSampleFileFolder = <the path to the trem sample folder within package 000442>

However, the filenames of the trem samples need to be in a particular format for CODM compatibility. I've just had a look in the Compenius package 442, and unfortunately they aren't in that format, i.e. they're not designed for CODM compatibility, so you wouldn't be able to use those as they stand.

For simplicity I'd recommend instead just referencing the St. Anne's trem samples (package ID 000002). You could try different St. Anne's trem ranks until you find ones that sound best for the particular Compenius pipe sample ranks you're using.
Best regards, Martin.
