Samples_AudioOutOptimalSampleResolutionCode and 24-bit

PostFri Sep 09, 2011 10:00 am

Hi,

I'm creating a HW3 CODM and the samples are in 24-bit. According to the CODM PDF for HW3 the Samples_AudioOutOptimalSampleResolutionCode only has two valid values:

The value of this parameter can be copied from the installation
package definition file, where it should have been specified
correctly by the sample set creator. It is used to prevent
samples being loaded into memory using a higher resolution
than that in which they were originally recorded, and thus
wasting memory. For example, it could prevent 16-bit samples
being loaded into memory in 32-bit resolution. Valid values are:
3. 16-bit.
6. 32-bit.

Is there an accepted setting for 24-bit samples or does one simply use the 32-bit code?

Kind regards,
GrahamG

Hello Graham,

Just use the 32-bit value and Hauptwerk will compensate as appropriate.
Best regards, Martin.
