MIDI Encoder for AOB Consoles

PostThu Mar 24, 2016 9:20 pm

I'm laying out a PCB for an encoder to handle the AOB consoles with optical keyboards and pedals. If anyone is interested in the bare PCB at $30 (my cost) let me know. Should be available in a couple of weeks and I will share the design and program as always if it works well. I'm including the same status LED circuit, 8 analog inputs, audio power relay, and I2C for additional I/O, similar to what's on the Allen encoders. Driving the SAMS should be possible but I may not even attempt that as I'm using a set of AOB keys and pedals to build a console with touch screens this time.

I've been slow getting the projects back on my web site but they will return eventually along with a planned MIDI merger project and a power distribution box with cycled power -- perhaps I'll get around to those. Too busy playing gardener and getting ready for console woodworking so who knows.
