Hi Jim, Tony etc.

I now have a 61-note ex-Compton wood core keyboard fitted with opto-switches and working in conjunction with a Midiboutique HWce2x encoder.

Yup, it works.
That write-up was FAR more detailed than I was expecting (but very welcome. Although, I'd probably put the links under the optos on the other side of the board...)
It's very nice to find that stripboard works.
I might take a look at using the midi/scanner part of the Yamaha kbds I currently have in the console (and will take pics, for those interested).
