What about Maker's labels

Postby cham-ed » Wed Jul 26, 2017 4:01 pm

:?: As I wrote my previous post about what to replace a clock, a second idea crossed my mind. My Rodgers 22D has a nice logo/signature plate on the stop rail. But internally it is basically not a Rodgers organ as most of the internals were removed. I was thinking about removing that plate and replacing it with new one. Now I'm asking for opinions. I was thinking of "Hauptwerk by E. Friedl" (using my name as I was the one to do the work) but I would be thankful for suggestions. :?:

Try Arndt Organ Supply. They do all kinds of engraving and should have the plaque style you desire.

"Rebuilt by xxx 2017" is the normal wording on pipe-organs, at least in England. Either above/below/alongside the original builders plate or with a line above saying "Built by XXX 1993"
