Non stop controlled stop

PostThu Sep 03, 2020 9:29 pm

I know this was discussed briefly a while ago, but couldn't remember the answer. I want to simulate a stop using a stop draw knob and have it function as if it were a (sample set stop sending note on/off) as eell as being able to be turned off be GC, etc. As well permitting to be programmed to operate within the C/A. Sounds like an ODF mof?

But not be connected to and control a "real" stop. As I recall this so called stop would connect (midi wise) to some unimportant feature that basically wouldn't do anything within Hauptwerk, at least not noticeably. I could sacrifice one of the stops and just mute it. Don't want to fo that. Another part of this request is that this "fake" stop would be available on all sample sets. I already thought about doing this outside of HW and just import a signal from CG tl cancel it. Any ideas?

Hello Ed,

The only ways to do that within Hauptwerk would be as you mentioned, i.e.:

- Use an unimportant existing virtual stop but don't load its rank(s).
- Create a custom organ definition.
