Scanning old Wyvern manuals

PostSat Dec 02, 2023 5:00 am

I've recently acquired a new console which I'm trying to convert - a Wyvern C356.

The manuals have 16 pin connectors out of them, and that would logically appear to me to be an 8x8 scan matrix, but I just can't get any logic out of it. Anyone got any experience with these?

I'd assumed it would be either rows on pins 1-8, cols on 9-16 or vice versa, neither of those produce anything logical, and some octaves appear to be missing.

All suggestions gratefully received!

Update; got it all figured out. Weird column/row order, but all 3 manuals work now. Phew!
