My Content D2330 with a 3th manual

PostSat May 30, 2009 4:33 am

Hello all,

Here some photo's of my Content D2330, extended with a third manual:

The original organ:

The two manuals lifted and a new block with the third one below it.
The plate with the stops is hidden in the empty space behind the manuals

Closed and painted:

The MKE midi controller (http://www.doepfer.de) on which a FATAR manual can be connected directly.
My swell shoes with LDR's are also working on this MKE print.

If I wish I can rebuild the organ to its original state within an hour or so.

Currently I have mounted the touchscreen on the organ, but I don't have a photograph of it (yet).

Regards,
Anton

Hello Anton,
I too have a Content organ (d2330) with a 3rd keyboard sitting on the top!
I would be interested to know how you presuaded your LDR swell pedals to work with the with the new circuitry-does this mean that they will also work any hauptwerk sampled organ.

Many thanks,

Hello Terry,

The MKE print has two connectors for the FATAR manual, but also some analog inputs, which consist of 3 pins each: 5V, zero and a mid-contact. The voltage on the mid-contact is translated to a midi-number send to the output.
I have connected the LDR on the 5V pin and the mid contact. and than the swell works, but inversed.
My second try was a variable resistor (250kOhm) in series with the LDR. 5V on this resistor, the mid-contact in the mid, and the zero-pin on the other side of the LDR.
With MIDIOX, the range of number is determined for various values of the resistor (optimal value about 150-200 k), and these numbers are set in Hauptwerk.

In works fine with my samplesets in Hauptwerk!

Hope this helps!
