Hello Luis,
[Topic moved here, since it isn't a technical support issue with the Hauptwerk software per-se.]
I have two Belkin powered hubs, both of which have always worked perfectly for me on both OS X and Windows. I actually bought one of them from the Apple Store (this USB 2.0 one: http://store.apple.com/us/product/HB183VC/A/belkin-ultra-slim-7-port-usb-20-desktop-hub ) on the basis that hopefully it would have been tested for Apple for compatibility, but I haven't had any problems with either of them. Looking on the Apple Store now, I see they also have a 4-port USB 3.0 one ( http://store.apple.com/us/product/HD988ZM/A/belkin-4-port-usb-30-powered-hub ).
I recall that there is a preference somewhere in OS X System Preferences (maybe only in OS X 10.9+) for whether USB devices get put to sleep. It might also be worth having a look at that if you're having problems with devices 'disappearing' (Windows has a similar setting).
I'd definitely recommend using only powered USB hubs (on OS X or Windows).
