PC problem: "driver has overrun a stack-based buffer"

PostTue Feb 10, 2015 1:01 pm

Today my HW pc stopped working properly. Upon start up I get a blue screen saying "a driver has overrun a stack-based buffer". I can restart in safe mode, I then get a message telling me a number of codes, including BCCode f7.

The PC is not connected to the internet. I use HW, FooBar, and Reaper with ARC2 and Reverberate LE/Liquidsonics plugins frequently, no other programs (well, drivers for soundcard and touchscreens, I suppose).

Any suggestions how I can get my pc back to work properly and safely?

Problem might be solved already... Yesterday I used an USB-stick to transfer some sample set updates, when I remove this USB stick the problem is gone. Could this be an indication that the USB stick is infected?
