Touchscreen - only 1 stop at a time?

PostSat Dec 19, 2015 1:35 am

Hello,

Running Hauptwerk basic edition through a touchscreen monitor. On a real organ you can obviously pull multiple stops at once, but on the touchscreen you can only press one stop at a time. Is this software limiting it or hardware i.e. it replicates the mouse which can only change one at a time?

Regards

Hello John,

This is not a limitation of HW but of touch screens. HW allows to change several stops simultaneously if you you use draw pistons or rocker tabs of your console.

Cordially.

Look at page 52 in the user guide - you can do "better" than one at a time....
'Swiping' across virtual controls
When using a touch screen (or mouse) it's possible to 'swipe' (slide) your finger/mouse across multiple virtual stops, without lifting your finger/mouse between, to set them all to the same state. This is useful for rapid stop changes, adding several couplers, removing or adding tremulants on a theatre organ, etc. You aren't limited to straight lines; any virtual switches

Of course, this is a good tip but only for adjacent stops...
