Can a new iPad Pro be used as an HW computer and touch screen?

I do not think so, Hauptwerk works only with Apple OSX and Microsoft Windows and both
must have Intel processors.

However if you had bought a Windows tablet it probably would work. It should certainly load
and run but connecting manuals may prove to be a problem.

I would be very interested to hear if anybody has tried Hauptwerk with a Windows tablet.

Sorry, that's not correct.
Hauptwerk works perfectly well on Windows PCs with AMD processors as well as Intel.

Thanks dhm, I knew that, and should have said "Intel compatible" processors. I was trying to
distinguish between intel and arm machine instruction sets.

The iPad uses a9x chips which as far as I know are not compatible with Hauptwerk.

Hello TPYoder,

Hauptwerk definitely can't itself be used on an iPad (iOS), I'm afraid. Our supported platforms are covered here in the 'Support | Requirements' section of our website here:

https://www.hauptwerk.com/learn-more/requirements/
https://www.hauptwerk.com/clientuploads/documentation/PDF/HauptwerkPrerequisites.pdf

It's conceivable that you could use some software to allow an iPad to be used as a remote touch-screen for a Mac computer, but I have no experience with that myself.
Best regards, Martin.

Try searching for Touchosc. - this system can let you use an iPad as a touch midi device which some people have used with HW.

A perfect remote control of a HW-PC through tablets can be achieved by "Splashtop" SW.

(Sorry for the German link - but Apple OS Users will find a QR Code/ AppleStore hint on the right hand side, which is self explaining, for Android/WIN click tabs)
