Elo touchscreen with a Mac

PostTue Feb 26, 2019 12:12 am

Is anyone using an Elo touch screen monitor with a Mac set up? What size? Open frame, by chance? Where did you get it from? Any difficulty with drivers? Any advice?

Hi,
My Mac is connected to two ELO Touch 19 "
It works great, but you have to ask the company for the updated drivers.

The standard 19" ELO monitors have a 5:4 aspect ratio. Does this mean that you have a lot of "white space" where the sample set images don't fill in the screen?

No the 4:3 and 5:4 aspect ratios are both borderlless to Hauptwerk. It is the 16:9 aspect that has the "white spaces".

Thanks, Thomas! Good to know.

One last question: do Hauptwerk touch screens need to be multi-touch, or is single-touch sufficient?

I do have a multi-touch monitor, but HW doesn't recognize multi-touch currently. Maybe future version will.

As part of upgrading to HW5 my two touch screens also need replacing. Do the Elo screens automatically sync with Apple updates and do they show two separate images for left and right draw stops?
I am running HW4 on a Mac Pro (3.7GHz Quad Core with 32 GB) but I have had to leave it on Yosemite due to my present AOC screens incompatibility and only with extra software do the screens show two separate images. Not a good solution.
Any guidance would be very welcome.
