Thought I was fairly computer literate, maybe not lol. I want to upgrade my Mobo, can I use my processor in a new Mobo?

No. And even if you could, you wouldn't want to. If your systems is that old, buying a new motherboard will imply you'd have to buy new ram and cpu.
