Wide Format Touchscreens

PostSat Oct 10, 2009 9:49 pm

With the imminent arrival of Win7, there will be a surge in demand for touchscreens because Win7 has native multi-touch support and a number of apps will take advantage of this facility. Touchscreens are about to become mass market commodities. Of course they will be wide aspect ratio. On 10/22, BestBuy will have models from Samsung and HP on offer.

This is exceedingly good news for the VPO community.

You may want to check out a foremost supplier for touch screens - Keytec http://www.magictouch.com/index.html . They sell, worldwide, a huge variety of this type product. I have on order, for instance, a widescreen add-on for a 17" wide screen laptop - $250 USD. These people have been leaders in this industry for a long time and are very reputable. I have several of their products and can only speak well of them.
