Don't forget subs like the SVS line of sealed subs. The ported will probably be too large for you but the SB-2000 would fit the bill and is very well engineered with a great warranty. If you are short on cash you can look at the BIC subs. They are very favorably reviewed relative to their price point (including in audio forums) and at those prices you could get two and possibly have a better result.
