Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on this project, as it is still very much a live and well.

Funding is underway and we are on a great path to having the entire project fully funded. Of course, as expected, this is the area that is a bit of a waiting game as all of the "committees" get all of the financial logistics worked out.

We very quickly reached 50% of our fundraising merely through generous private individuals. Now we are going to host a few fundraising events, concerts, programs, etc. and should hopefully have this thing paid for 100% free and clear very soon - debt free!

In the meantime, if anyone is interested in getting involved and has any interest in supporting the project, you can visit http://www.greenwoodumcmusic.org/Donate.html to make a donation. (Not sure if this is against forum rules or not.... if so, I will take it down). If you happen to be in the Indianapolis area, let me know and I will try to keep you updated on upcoming events as they become available.

I will hopefully get around to adding a Hauptwerk Organ Blog on that site to track progress. New works are being written/arranged for the premier concert and dedication service as well.

Still trying to narrow down some sample sets. The new SP Casavant would be very welcome in that space, I think.

So very excited for what is to come!

Thank you, all!

Update:

The project is - for all intents and purposes - fully funded! We had our first fundraiser last weekend but we already had 90% of the funds raised by that point entirely from individual contributions! I love this congregation. I love working WITH them. They are a terrific group of folks!

I have begun the process of finalizing the design/engineering of the audio system and other components. A fully-detailed AutoCAD drawing of the entire schematic - from key switching all the way to speaker output - is being done by one of the draftsmen that I work with.

I mocked up a basic 3D rendering of the audio system and the inside of the sanctuary. Pictures can be found here: http://greenwoodumcmusic.org/Hauptwerk_Organ.html

Hopefully within the next couple of months all the equipment will start showing up.

QUESTION ABOUT MACS AND TOUCHSCREENS
I have been debating whether or not to get a rebuilt MAC from iBuildMacs.com or just build a new Windows PC. The nail in the coffin for MAC is that I am having trouble finding suitable touchscreens that are guaranteed to work. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Thank you!
