You don't want to compromise cooling for the sake of noise near the console. Better to remote the pa than to smell smoke during an especially "energetic" piece of music. Plus any mods like that do void warranties.

O.K., not 8 channels but worth a look. From what I am told it's top shelf stuff and the prices are certainly right. I ended up on their mailing list and am seriously thinking of getting one of these. I can always come up with one stereo amp to drive my towers and provide a signal for the subs.

Fitting silent fans to Cloud amplifier.
The mod to my cloud amps do not reduce the efficiency of the cooling but actually improve it as the original fans are 24volt fans running on 12volts. The new silent fans are 12volt fans so are running at full speed but very quietly. The amps warranties have long expired being eBay acquisitions. They have been performing well and produce little heat.
