ARC2 & Multi-Channel configuration?

Postby ludu » Wed Jan 18, 2017 8:29 am

Hello All,
The question is in the title. Is it possible in Reaper to put a different ARC2 VST plugin for each channel?

Yes you can! (sounds like Obama!)
But Arc2 has a annoying bug!
It does not save the filter settings in the last instance (rears) of Arc.
So before starting to play look at the Arc VST and choose the correct filter setting.
It's just 10 sec. extra start up time but still annoying.

Hello Jan,
Many thanks for your interesting feedback. If I understand you correctly, this configuration is practicable with 4 channels (2 front + 2 rear), but not with 32 channels, for example.

Hoi Luc

I don't know? I have only experience with Arc2 with the front and rear stereo channels. I suspect applying roomcorrection to 32 channels with 16 instances of Arc vst will cost to much computer power??
With Dirac you can use one instance for 8 channels and Dirac also corrects the timing for all the channels, in that regard Dirac is much more advanced then Arc2
