Experiences using Bluetooth headphones?

PostThu Oct 17, 2019 2:02 pm

Hi,

I would like to hear of any experiences (positive or negative) using Bluetooth headphones with Hauptwerk.

I am *not* interested in comments to the effect of "it should work".

Thanks,

Colin

If you REALLY need to practice for playing the west end organ from the mobile console in the chancel, maybe. Using the latency settings in HW is easier and cheaper.

I have tried using Bluetooth headphones, the delay in hearing the sound was long and the result unsuccessful. I deemed that they were not a viable way to connect headphones. Elsewhere on the forum others have reported a similar(poor) experience. I connected a Bluetooth transmitter to my headphone out channel on my audio controller...

There was a recent report on the forum of someone successfully using RF connected headphones.

Thanks guys, just what I needed to know. Looks like corded headphones are the way to go then.

Ed,

As hinted above, the problem with Bluetooth wireless headphones and headsets is that it introduces a delay -- and this is very noticeable when playing a musical instrument.
