Hi, David, thanks. I didn't mention it, but yes, the Samson units also have multi-LED power meters, and they're very handy for gauging signal levels. It's also cool to watch them all moving in concert with the meters on the MOTU 24I/O. Fill a rack with them, and it's organ music with a light show!

I don't know what "new class A" is but all normal class A amps create considerable heat and use a good bit more power. From what I've read, a current source amp is the best for the high efficiency full range drivers. These are rare though.
