Here is my idea for a 4-channel speaker group - capable of handling any ranks - 32ft and up - in a large space:
Since I am adding 4 more Behringer B2031A to my main speaker group, I'll be left with four unused Behringer A500 reference amplifiers and 2 unused CX2310 active cross-overs, so I am considering buying four Mackie C200 passive loudspeakers.
Four channels will be fed into the two CX2310 XO's - each CX2310 has a summed LF subwoofer output, L/R Mid outputs, and L/R HF outputs. The crossover points will be at <40Hz to LF sum, >40Hz to Mid, and >80HZ to HF
Each summed LF subwoofer output (10-40HZ) will be fed to a side of my NADY XA-1600 amplifier - 675 watts per channel @ 4 ohms - driving two Tuba HT sub-woofers (one for channel 1/2, one for channel 3/4). http://www.billfitzmaurice.com/THT.html
The Mid Freq. outputs (40-80Hz) will be fed into my two Behringer B2092A sub-woofers (one for channel 1/2, one for channel 3/4). http://www.behringer.com/EN/downloads/pdf/B2092A_P0085_S_EN.pdf
The HF outputs will be fed into the four Behringer A500 reference amplifiers - set in Bridged mono mode, 500 watts @ 8 Ohms - driving the four Mackie C200 loudspeakers. http://www.mackie.com/products/c200/pdf/c200_om.pdf
Into this four channel group - "Cyclic within octave, octaves and ranks cycled" - I envision routing the following ranks:
Pedal Untersatz 32
Pedal Open Diapason 16
Pedal Contra Bass 16
Pedal Bourdon 16
Pedal Trombone 16
Pedal Tromba 8
Great Double Diapason 16
Great Tromba 8
Swell Bourdon 16
Swell Trumpet 8
Swell Voix Celeste 8
Swell Flute Celeste 8
Choir Gamba 16
Choir Gamba Celeste 8
Choir Tuba Mirabilis 8
185 pipes per channel
