Hanging notes

Hello,

I'm using the free edition of Hauptwerk and have often hanging notes.
The hanging notes are only in Hauptwerk. If i use other software sound modules I can play normally.
So I thing the MIDI Interface and the driver are not the problem.

The hanging notes coming from coupled in pipes (e.g. notes are hanging which are only played with the bass pedal).

Any ideas what happens?

I would not think that Hauptwerk is the total problem. I had the same issue with a Galanti organ that would play an Allen tone generator with ease but Hauptwerk had multiple hanging notes. The same setup on my current organ doesn't have the problem. I never was able to fix the problem and would like to figure it out since i have an organ that is midi but will probably have to re-midi it. I figured that Hauptwerk is just a little more sensitive than other traditional midi tone generators.

I had the same problem with a USB EMU Midi 1X1. With other devices, it always worked perfectly. Now I use the midi port of the sound card and the problems are eliminated.

Over the years I have had the occasional hanging note when using keyboard USB. Since I have installed a proper cancel, midi has been the only option and a note has never hung.

I testet with several soft synths.
As more CPU power they need as more happens hanging notes.
I use my "old" Windows Vista Notebook and I'm now sure this is the the culprit.

I use Hauptwerk at my Hammond XK-3c Mini B3 System (2 Manuals 25keys Pedal) to practice for a wedding I was asked to play in church in summer.

Buying a new PC for this is not an option. So I configured "all notes off" on a free button and must live with this.
