Pipeloops sample sets supporting the Free Edition

PostSun Jul 12, 2009 2:18 pm

Dear all,
the following sample sets from Pipeloops are now also working with the Free Edition of Hauptwerk:
  • Virtual Steam Calliope -> Fully usable in Free Edition
  • Cavaillé-Coll Madeleine -> Fully usable in Free Edition
  • Silbermann Großhartmannsdorf -> Fully usable in Free Edition (A few ranks will have to be loaded using single-loops to stay within the memory limit)
  • ND-Laeken Small Edition -> Samples can be read by Hauptwerk Free Edition, but only a part of the organ can be loaded and played at any given time, and polyphony may not be sufficient due to long release tails. However, for people experimenting with external reverb (loading only default release sample and truncating the release tail), this may be useful after all.
The ND-Laeken Full Edition remains not compatible with the Free Edition. We have not reencrypted this set, since we found this of little use due to the very large memory requirement of the set.

For all the sets that can be used with the Free Edition, naturally the trial versions will work with it as well. Please note however that at this point only the versions on our own server (http://www.pipeloops.com) have been updated. I have been informed by Brett that they are still in the process of moving servers, and once this is done, the downloads on the Hauptwerk download page will be updated as well.

So go ahead and try them out!

Best regards
Reiner

Just a quick note to let you know that the files have been updated on the Hauptwerk.com servers as well, so the trial editions of the sample sets mentioned in my previous post. downloaded from Hauptwerk.com will now also work with the Free Edition.

Brett, thank you very much for hosting these!

Best regards
Reiner
