XP64

PostSun Apr 04, 2010 10:20 pm

I installed XP 64, but I guess there are no drivers for my sound cards. Naturally when I try to run HW it says there are no midi input devices. I installed midi yoke thinking it would resolve the issue, but that didn't work. Any suggestions? I guess I'll eventually have to get some usb to midi cables.

MIDI Yoke does not offer a 64 bit version, try LoopBe1:

Hello Jake

I installed XP 64, but I guess there are no drivers for my sound cards.

Which sound card do you have?

Naturally when I try to run HW it says there are no midi input devices.

Is the sound also missing or is it only a MIDI problem?

Best regards
Johannes

I had to search for my onboard sound drivers and I found them. I do have sound, I'll have to look at the devive manager for exact models of SB cards. I'll give Loopbe a try and see if that works.

Thanks!!

I'd have to pull the cards I don't remember the model numbers. I'll tell ya after my seizures, and trip to the hospital, I think my memory is not as good as it used to be. When i go to device manager, and click on multimedia audio controller then properties. I can see the hardware id's if that helps. As old as they are I doubt there 64bit are drivers.

Going to try loopbe now.

Hi Jake,
According to the Device ID, your first audio device is a SoundBlaster PCI card [Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDM)]. As far as I know there are no Windows XP 64-bit drivers available. As this device ceased to be supported by Creative quite a while ago I imagine that it is highly unlikely that 64-bit drivers will ever be available. So by using your onboard Sound driver with LoopBe you should be able to get Hauptwerk going...

Let us know what results you get...
