Automatically starts the Free-HW

PostMon Jul 18, 2011 11:49 am

Hello,

i build a little HW-Organ-Console and i would like to use it without monitor. Now if i start HW without dongle a startup-screen appears where i can chosse between the Free or the Trial-Versions.
Now, can i configure the Free-Hauptwerk to start automatically in the Free-Mode without the startup-screen?

best regards,
Stephan Blaurock

Hello Stephan,

(Topic moved here.)

Sorry - no - you can't disable the Free Edition start-up screen. If you want to get rid of that screen you would need to have a Hauptwerk USB key containing a licence for Hauptwerk (either the Basic or Advanced Edition) attached to the computer.

Hello Eric,

Although that might in theory be technically possible to do something like that, the start-up screen is an intentional limitation of the Free Edition (to give an incentive to upgrade to a licensed edition and to remind people that they're using the Free Edition), so please don't try to get around it - thanks.
