Merging front and rear samples - Choice of Software

Postby florianf » Fri Dec 28, 2012 7:14 am

Hello everyone,

I'm currently experimenting with merging front and rear samples to raise polyphony on smaller computers. I now have two times (front and rear) 40 ranks of samples, with subfolders for the release sample parts. The folder structure and file names are the same for front and rear samples, so doing it as a batch job should be possible.

So, is there an audio software which supports merging all Wave Files with the same name from two Folders?

Regards,
Florian

Why would you like to do that? In my eyes, it is much simpler to choose the front samples only in the Loading Options of the organ. And I don't know how a merger would affect the quality of the samples...

You might want to do that for selecting the right amount of front- and rear sound for your taste. But i think it is a very difficult part coming near to prepare a new sample set. You can't use the loops and release marks of the old samples - you have to generate new ones. I expect it not worth the work.

Best regards - Martin
You can play Bach on every organ.
